Falconry website build
Chris, from South Coast Falconry, approached me to design and build a new website to promote the unique eco-friendly services he offers. His trained falcons and hawks can be hired to deter unwanted gulls and pigeons from sites, without the need to use chemicals, traps, or harming wildlife. I also got to photograph his beautiful birds for the 'Meet the Team' section of his website. Amazing project!

What I did...
Building the website
Chris wanted a straight-forward website - just a single page - with infomation about the services he offers, details about the birds of prey he flys and a contact form for enquires.
I started out using placeholder pictures and when Chris was happy with the way things were going, we arranged a time to photograph all the birds.
The finished website focuses on the birds of prey and provide potential customers with the information they needed to make an enquiry. All enquires go direct to Chris and he is able to respond to them quickly.
Colours to complement the beautiful birds
The colour palette chosen for the website had a number of tasks to deliver. Firstly, I wanted it to complement the colours of the birds themselves. Secondly, it needed to align with the eco-friendly credentials of the business and finally I wanted colours that felt natural and part of nature.
The warm pastel shades do a great job of brings these requirements together
Photographing the birds of prey
I needed pictures of each of the raptors that Chris uses in his work (and some pictures of Chris too). We waited for a sunny afternoon and I took a few hundred pictures, and with Chris' help, selected the best shots for each of the birds. These photographs are the star of the website.
I highly recommend! I needed a simply website last week. The service was extremely fast and stress free.
Having little IT knowledge they made the operation pain free and the after sales service correcting my oversites was again no hassle at all and I am receiving traffic already through the site.
